Last Saturday, three of the world's most innovative thinkers - Spike Lee, Brian Eno, and Laurie Anderson - put their minds together in the first Imagination Conference. Presenting previously unseen works and talking about their careers, the artists shared their creative processes with an audience at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, and with Pop's live Internet viewers.

A shared interest in new forms of expression and new uses of technology inspired Lee, Eno, and Anderson to come together for the Imagination Conference. At the event, Lee showed clips from his films and commercials, Eno discussed his "generative music" (recorded music that changes each time you hear it), and Anderson staged a performance using special video and audio effects.

For those who couldn't make it to this one-time-only event, Pop is providing the next-best thing: audio and visual recordings. The four-hour performance was simulcast by Pop via RealAudio and WebVideo technology; now we are making these files permanently available to you.

As a more intimate warmup to the stage show, Pop producer Michael Small held a pre-show interview with Laurie Anderson on Friday, 7 June, and senior editor John Alderman interviewed Brian Eno on Wednesday, 5 June. The audio files of these live chats are also available.
